This page contains a small list of programs I have written for various purposes.
They are available for download as freeware in case they are useful to you.

This program displays the amount of free space remaining on the disk it is run from, in the form of a convenient bar graph.
It is best used as a startup task, and will automatically close after 5 seconds. It will usually avoid the Windows taskbar.
If you prefer to see how much space has been used instead (in the same manner as Windows Explorer), then use the switch /U, or rename the program to
Tested on Microsoft Windows 95 - Windows 7.
SHA-1:
This command-line program reads the date and time embedded inside every portable executable (usually 32-bit Windows program files) when linked. You can optionally change the filesystem timestamp with this value.
Take all link dates with a pinch of salt. Some linkers use the memory for another purpose.
/C | Update the filesystem creation date to match the link date. |
/U | Updates all filesystem dates (created, modified and accessed) to match the link date. |
/P | Pad the view of filenames and dates with spaces. |
Wildcards are not supported.
Microsoft Windows 95/NT or newer.

/D | Same as /C, but with decimal values instead of hexadecimal. |
/L | Lists any bytes that have decreased in value. |

/V | Verbose output. |
Microsoft Windows 95/NT or newer.
SHA-1:
Tally-O creates a new file based on the most common byte for every position within 3 or more source files.
This program was written to help me recover and restore individual floppy disk sectors. Each problematic sector was read multiple times, and Tally-O managed to work out what it was supposed to be.
Microsoft Windows 95/NT or newer.
